Somewhere between unfiltered expression and quiet observation is where I find my place in design. Growing up, I was drawn to art that felt raw and imperfect like graffiti and hand drawn lettering. Anything that carried emotion without needing permission. It taught me that art could be bold, emotional, and deeply human. Over time, I found just as much inspiration in stillness. In the endless shoreline of Lake Michigan or in the calm of the tucked away galleries in quieter places. Those spaces helped me understand that subtlety can speak just as loudly, and that slowing down is often where meaning reveals itself.
It is in watching closely, feeling deeply, and then creating with care that my work begins. Design gives me a place to turn those ways of seeing into something intentional. It isn’t just something to be seen, but something that helps us see differently.
