Motion Graphics | 1-Minute Educational Short
This one-minute motion graphics video was created to visually explain the concept of the butterfly effect, the idea that small actions can lead to significant, far-reaching consequences. I approached the project with a curiosity for both visual storytelling and emerging technology.
As part of the assignment, I used AI-generated voiceover to narrate the piece, which gave me a chance to explore how synthetic voices can be integrated into motion design. It was a new tool for me, and learning how to shape tone and pacing with AI added an extra layer of depth to the project.
Visually, I leaned into a collage-inspired aesthetic, layering textures, cutouts, and animated elements to reflect the complexity and unpredictability of cause and effect. The result was a dynamic, slightly surreal short that played with rhythm, contrast, and flow to keep viewers engaged and thinking.
